Största skeptikern. Jag minns hur jag läste om honom och hans pris i Folkvett redan på nittiotalet. Långt innan jag bestämde mig för att bli organiserad skeptiker. Han lämnar dock inte ett tomrum bakom sig utan ett stor idémässigt arv efter sig.
Spitos rakkniv: I brist på fullständiga bevis så är den tråkigaste förklaringen, den minst thrillerliknande beskrivningen, den mest troliga.

Hans veckobrev på 90-talet var min första kontakt med skeptikervärlden så det har haft påverkan på mig med. Idag finns det betydligt större resurser online men det var vad jag hittade på den tiden.

I had dinner with James Randi and some Danish skeptics when he visited Copenhagen in 2010.
He performed one of his close-up magic tricks at the table. It was obviously meant for the people on the other side of the table, but even though I was sitting right next to him and could watch everything he was doing from a different angle, I couldn't see how he did it.
Before he started, he warned us that he had lost much of his dexterity due to the cancer treatments he had received a short time before he toured Europe. Five or six years earlier, I had seen him do close-up magic at TAM, but I didn't notice any deterioration in his skills as a magician.
